Driving From Monchique
Travel towards Marmelete and about 2 km’s BEFORE you reach Marmelete you will see a sign on the left for Corte Cibrao. Take this left turn and drive downhill for 5 km’s until you see a small turn on your right over a concrete bridge with signposts for Vale Da Junca/Tojeiro. Drive along this road for 500 meters then turn left at the junction. Tojeiro is 1 km along this road, follow the signs for parking. Please do not drive up the hill!
Driving From Aljezur
Travel towards and through Marmelete and about 2 km’s AFTER Marmelete you will see a sign on the right for Corte Cibrao. Drive along this road for 500 meters then turn left at the junction. Tojeiro is 1 km along this road, follow the signs for parking. Please do not drive up the hill!
Driving From Lagos/Portimao/Odiáxere
Head to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. Once you are there you will pass it on your right side. Go straight at the first roundabout and at the second roundabout take the last unmarked exit (third exit). Drive for 5 km’s through a place called Folga then pass the sign to Corte Cibrao on your right side until you see a sign for Tojeiro and a turning on your left side (over a concrete bridge). Drive along this road for 500 meters then turn left at the junction. Tojeiro is 1 km along this road, follow the signs for parking. Please do not drive up the hill!
By Bus
To Portimao: You can travel to Portimao from Lisbon/Faro/Porto with Rede Express.
Once in Portimao it is possible to use the Vamus Algarve bus network to get closer to Tojeiro. Take the 21P bus route (Linha 21) from Portimao to the Pereira 2 stop (Autódromo do Algarve). It will take about 1 hour (there is no 21P bus service on Sunday).
To Aljezur: You can travel to Aljezur with Rede Express where it is possible to hitch-hike to Tojeiro via Marmelete.
